Back To The Roaring Twenties At The Savoy Ball: The five hundred guests at the Savoy Ball forgot all about the Twist and gaily danced the Charleston back to the Roarin Twenties. Altogether on a theme of those good old days, the ball, which is in aid of polio research, had some distinguished names among its guests: they included Lance Callingham, son of Lady Docker, Doreen Dawne, American hotel owner and art collector Beverly Woodner, as well as a whole host of debs, their delights and other well-known faces-about-London.
