Dehydrated food reconstituted by British scientists

Aug. 08, 1956 - Meals in a matchbox: British scientists have developed whole meals - one consists of soup, chopped beef, mashed potatoes, yellow turnips and apple dessert - that can be carried around in a matchbox in dried form and reconstituted by adding hot water. Also on the menu are fish, pork chops, bananas, diced carrots, cabbage, pineapple, raspberries and whole tomatoes.
