Feb. 02, 1956 - Frenchmen demonstrate in Algiers on arrival of Guy Mollet the French Prime Minister. Frenchmen residing in Algiers staged a hostile demonstration on the arrival in Algiers of the new French Prime Minister Guy Mollet. He was pelted with fruit. He placed a wreath on the war memorial - and after the ceremony the wreath was torn to shreds by demonstrators.
