The event, organised by the TRRL in Cooperation with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, aimed to present an up-to-date account of British Works to improve the safety of road vehicles, including accident avoidance, the protection of vehicle occupants and pedestrians, and to assist those now engaged in such work, and others who may take part later, in the preparation and execution of their mirror. Photo Shows An American Ford Pinto giving a demonstration of the anti-locking brake system. This picture shows what happens when the brakes are applied in wet weather causing the car to slew round if the anti-locking system is not used
