Demonstration of Beaver Trailboat, Putney, SW London

Dec. 12, 1957 - Demonstrating The Beaver Trailboat. A practical demonstration was held at the slipway on the Putney Embankment today, to convey the idea of the case with which the Beaver Trailboat can be towed behind a car on the road, launched and rowed on the water. It is a boat and trailer all in one. It carries your luggage as a trailer and in a jiffy is ready to carry you on the water. It is constructed of glass fibre reinforced polyester resin, with quality varnished hardwood, thwarts, gunwhales, rubbing strakes, floor boards, and transom. The capacity of the trailer is three large suitcases with plenty of room for smaller gear. Keystone Photo Shows: The Beaver Trailboat on water carrying three passengers - at Putney today
