Mar. 03, 1958 - Arctic-To-Pole Transportation: The British Gipsy is an 8-geared vehicle which according to its British manufacturers can go anywhere between the equator and the poles. Powered by either a petrol or diesel engine, four-wheel driven, it has all-round independent rubber suspension (needing neither lubrication nor maintenance), a rust-proofed steel body and a plastic coated hood. There is room for nine people, or three people and nearly 24 cu. ft. of luggage. It has a range of 420 miles on a tankful of fuel.
