Jun. 06, 1959 - Runaground X - three service demonstration. Waterproofed Centurion tank. More than 1, 000 men are taking part in Runaground X, the amphibious demonstration, at Eastney, Portsmouth today. The demonstration is designed to shows Staff college students some of the problems of amphibious operations - and includes helicopter assault, seaborne landing and cliff assault. Photo shows a Centurion tank which has been waterproofed, undergoing a test during the exercises today
