Demonstration and clash in Whitehall, London

Feb. 02, 1972 - 122 arrested in London Ulster Demonstration: Hundreds of police in Whitehall last night grappled with nearly 5, 000 when a protest march over the 13 Londonderry deaths last weekend developed into a riot. Many attempts were made to crash through police ranks to 10 Downing Street while 13 symbolic coffins were thrown back. Arrests totaled 122, and 55 policeman and 36 other people were injured.
