Demonstration of howitzer at School of Artillery, Larkhill
May 05, 1959 - School of Artillery demonstration. Included in today's School of Artillery demonstration at Larkhill, Wiltshire, was the Italian 105mm howitzer, which is to replace the 25 pounder in certain roles. It can be broken into pack loads for carriage on mules or by helicopters. Photo shows Sgt P Garnett of Pudsey, Yorkshire, closing the breech of the Italian 105mm howitzer. He has to put his hand into the breech to release the extractors
