Jun. 06, 1958 - Demonstrations In Istanbul. Thousands of demonstrators, demanding the partition of Cyprus, had to be dispersed by troops and tanks in Istanbul, when they marched towards the Greek and British Consulates after attending an anti-Greek and anti-British mass meeting.
