Aug. 08, 1959 - DEMONSTRATION OF BRITISH MAGIC BOX'. IT PRODUCES ITS OWN POWER FROM CHEMICALS. A demonstration was held this morning of the Hydrox Fuel Cell - the invention of MR. THOMAS BACON sponsored by the National Research Development Corporation - an invention which is expected to revolutionise the field of electricity. The Magic Box does not store electricity but makes it by chemical conversion. It can be used in cars, submarines, trains, aircraft.
