Oct. 10, 1958 - Demonstration of Army Medical Service In Nuclear War: An exercise in the treatment and air evacuation of causalties immediately following a nuclear missile strike on forward troops was carried out at the Field Training Centre, RAMC at Ash Vale near Aldershot. The object of the demonstrations was to show how new training methods and reorganised medical units could provide better medical care for soldiers wounded in nuclear warfare.
