Demonstration of motorbike firefighting, Germany
1976 - Mini Fire Brigade On Two Wheels. The extinguisher-bee, a fast, flexible and cross country motorbike, equipped with a progressive extinguisher, was recently demonstrated at a simulated car crash at the Hockenheim Ring racecourse in West Germany. The motorbikes are of great help in case of traffic accidents, when normally the fire engines have to find their way through jammed streets. Operated by one hand, a far-reaching, voluminous stream of extinguishing powder is released. By this fast method small fires can be put out within seconds.
