Aug. 08, 1977 - 200 Demonstrators Arrested During The Violence In London Marchers: About 200 demonstrators were arrested and over 555 police injured in violent clashes during the Lewisham march in South London today. Taking part were the National Front supporters in one march and members of the socialists workers party who were determined to stop them from marching. The two sides met and violence broke out which also involved 4, 000 police. Photo Shows: A policeman with blood streaming down his face is being helped to safety by colleagues, in new Cross today
