Demonstration of new Gourock Airhouse, Glasgow
Mar. 22 Demonstration of the New Gourock Airhouse unique portable cover: The view of the new Gourock Airhouse - during a recent demonstration of its ease of erection at the Distillers Sports Club, Glasgow. Made of nylon or terylene coated with Geon PVC, this novel airhouse is made by the Gourock Ropework Company, Port Glasgow, and is ideal for temporary or semi-permanent cover such as is required at social functions, in building construction or for agricultural storage. After being laid out on its site, it is connected to a fan which blows air into it until it is fully inflated. It is then kept erect by the pressure differential between the outside and the inside, the fan being kept on at a low rate. The airhouse demonstrated measures 100 ft. long by 40 ft. wide and 20 ft. high
