Demonstration of new mini auto for disabled drivers
1977 - New Mini Auto for the disabled driver. A demonstration was held today by the new GKN Sankey 1, 000cc Mini-Auto car for the disabled driver. It has a fibrin class body and can carry two passengers each side at the rear. The disabled driver enters the car from the back and is locked in by a clamp at the steering position. So that he can drive from his wheelchair, the Minister for the Disabled Mr Alfred Morris took a ride in the car which is now in production for the disabled. Photo shows a view looking into the rear of the car showing the two passenger seating and the special clamp for the wheelchair
