Demonstration against new university plans, Munich
Jan. 01, 1973 - Biggest Demonstration in Munich since the end of the War. Around 2200 students from all over Bavaria demonstrated on 25.1.1973 in Munich against the projected plans for University Administration of the Bavarian Education Minister, Hans Maier. It was the biggest demonstration since the end of the War that Munich has had. The students were protesting about the new University Disciplinary Regulations, against the distribution of seats in University Administrative Bodies (that on all of these the professors had a Majority). They were also protesting against the plan to limit the length of time taken over studying, and the greater interference of the State in the affairs of the University
