Nov. 11, 1959 - Demonstration outside Wandsworth Prison as Gunther Podola is executed. There were a number of protests and demonstrations outside Wandsworth Prison yesterday as Gunther Fritz Podola was executed for the murder of Det. Sgt. Raymond Purdy. Men with placards were seen patrolling around. Many schoolboys were in evidence. Photo shows onlookers including a number of schoolboys outside the Prison during the execution
