Demonstration outside Wandsworth Prison, London

Dec. 23, 1963 - Fast To Death Outside Wandsworth Prison: Two members of the Committee of 100, George Cabutti and Zion Silverstein, are on the fifth day of a fast to death outside Wandsworth Prison where Terence Chandler has started to serve his sentence of nine months for his part as Field Secretary of the committee during their demonstrations during the Greek Royal visit. The two are protesting against the severity of the sentence. The committee have sent telegrams to the Queen and the Home Secretary advising them of the fast.
