Demonstration against Pope's banning of the Pill

Jul. 07, 1973 - Dutch women hold demonstration outside the residence of the Nuncio in the Hague: Dolle Mina, the Dutch branch of Women's Liberation, marked the 5th anniversary of the Pope's encyclical Humanae Vitae forbidding mechanical means of birth control by holding a demonstration outside the residence of the Papal Nuncio, Mgr Angelo Felici, in the Hague, where they delivered a letter asking the Pope to review the Roman Catholic Church's opinion. Photo shows members of the Dolle Mina about to release a helium filled balloon with the slogan "Dear God tell the Pope the pill is no dope" during the demonstration
