May 05, 1971 - Mass Demonstration In Trafalgar Square Against Soviet show trials Against Jews In Russia: A mass demonstration was held this afternoon in Trafalgar Square which was organised by the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen to stop Soviet show trials of Jews who have been brought to Trial in Leningrad, Riga, Odessa, and Kichinev. One of the main speakers was Lena Volkova, a Jewish leader from Kharkov, USSR, also the Chief Rabbi, Lord Soper, Patrick Cormac MP (Secretary of Anglo-Soviet Parliamentary Group) and other leading personalities.
