Jan. 01, 1972 - Release Pauline Jones Sit-Down Demonstration Outside Holloway Prison, North London: Several people were arrested yesterday when demonstrators staged a sit-down outside Holloway Prison, in North London. They called for the release of Pauline Jones, 23, who kidnapped baby Denise Weller from outside a shop in Harlow, Essex, and held her for five weeks. Miss Jones Was gaoled for three years in October but the sentence was later reduced to 21 months. Pleas to the Home Secretary for her release on health grounds have been rejected.
