Feb. 02, 1946 - Charging the Picket line at Almeda. Photo shows Police officers charge a picket line outside the strike bound Bethlehem plant at Alameda, California. In the centre in a white shirt wearing a star is a policeman. He has lost his hat and has evidently been hit hard during the fracas. He is on his way down to the Greensward. Police carried night sticks and tear gas tombs are finally broke up the picketers, but not before WIlliam Indig, Assistant Plant Superintendent was beaten by the strikets who overturned his car
