Jun. 18, 1953 - Ho-Building occupied by striking workers: In a broadcast aired last night, the Soviet-controlled East Berlin broadcasting station reported that Imperialistic gangsters and their East Berlin followers have Virtually destroyed the HO-building, one of the few big Soviet-controlled shopping centers. The crowd stormed the building, penetrated, bills and papers right thru the windows into the sidewalk and on to the street while raging youngsters burned the rest of the HO-red-tape'.
