Jun. 17, 1954 - Pictured here is the leader of a communist group in West Berlin that was protesting in front of Schoeneberg city hall. They were very hostile to the police and the leader of the group even succeeded in pulling a pistol out of a policeman's holster. Subsequently the assembled crowd became hostile to them and attacked him. The very police he was hostile toward ended up saving him from a much bleaker fate
