Oct. 15, 1954 - The Strike Stops More Buses.. Thousands More London Men Out. The strike of drivers and conductors of London's buses spread today when another 3, 798 stopped work. Londoners had to find other ways of getting to work - and long queues were to be seen at all the underground stations.
