Nov. 02, 1954 - The Dock strike threatens to spread. Idle shipping in the pool of London: Many crowds of idle dockers and dozens of idle ships were to be seen in the Tooley Street, Bermondsey wharf area this morning following the strike of 2, , 500 dockers who refused to work on lorries driven by non-Union man or those who worked during the big October Strike.
