Oct. 10, 1957 - Down with the guard say the local lade at Windsor. The burned cor dona fire claim. youngsters in Windsor were last night up-in-arm against Grenadian Guards units stationed in the area. They were to be seen carrying banners reading Down with the Guards -etc. etc. For they are convinced that the guards were responsible for the burning down of the bonfire - a 40ft. high pile - which they had constructed for guy Fawkes night.
