Apr. 27, 1959 - Bravest dog of the year presentation in London. two men make protest: the national association of dog biscuit manufacturer cup for the Bravest dog of the year was this morning presented to lady owned by nightwatchman George Culley of cleckheaton - at the Waldorf hotel, London. The presentation was made because Lady rescued a terrier from drowning in a frozen mill dam. Gatecrashing Athena reception was Mr. Graham Laycock (28) and Mr. Briang Palmer (24) both of dleckheaton, yorks who protested against the presentation - as Mr. Laycock claimed that it was he himself that rescued the terrier - not lady'. photo shows Two picture Lady (left) with her cup and the terrier which she saved - and which is known as cheeky - while bottom Gerahm Laycock makes his protest - watched by colleagure brian Palmer
