Jan. 01, 1959 - Miners March in London; A large party of Welsh miners who came to London by coach today, went to the House of Commons to lobby their M.P.s, in protest against the closing of seven pits recently. The proposed planned march was shortened to a march round Eaton Square, where they carried banners, before boarding their coaches for the house.
