Demonstrations

Sep. 23, 1960 - Many injured in ?Rent Clash?. Police carry off a demonstrator ? A thousand policemen last night fought a vicious pitched battle with a mob, estimated at 2, 000 strong trying to storm St. Pancras Town Hall, London. The battle started after demonstrators outside the two rebel blocks of council flats, Silverdale House and Kennistoun House joined forces and marched on the Town Hall in a massive anti-rent increase protest.
