Dec. 20, 1963 - 65 year-old Denise Morin has had a newspaper kiosk on Marceau avenue for 15 years. But her boutenniere is decorated with a red ribbon and soon this ribon will be replaced by a rose. Mrs. Morin or Meme as some clients call her familiarly just got promoted to the rank of officer in the Legion of Honor. Engaged in 1942, along with her husband and daughter, in the resistance effort against Vengeance-Action, she served as a liaison officer and housed several military allies. Denounced in 1944, as well as her daughter and her husband, she was deported to Ravensbruck. She and her daughter came back from it 100% mutilated. Her husband died in Camp Dora.
