Oct. 05, 1963 - Five million pints of beer wasted because of a strike ? Two hundred and fifty thousand pints of beer went down the drain yesterday at Ansell?s Brewery at Birmingham and it is to be followed by another five million pints within the next few days. The reason? Said the spokesman for the firm: The beer has become spoiled because 1, 300 production and transport workers at the brewery went on strike claiming that a cellarman shop steward had been victimized. Photo Shows: Some of the beer going down the drain at the brewery yesterday. Keystone
