Jan. 01, 1965 - Two Policemen wounded and dog killed in Kensington gun drama: Two policemen were wounded and a police dog was shot dead in a Kensington gun drama last night. It started after a White Mercedes which was being chased by police cars crashed into two other vehicles which had collided earlier in Brompton Road, What looked like a traffic accident suddenly exploded into a shooting in gangster-film style. A man dashed from the Mercedes into a nearby basement and police dog Simon II was sent after him. The dog was shot and policemen Constable Ro John Cross and Constable Michael Wheeler were wounded, Later 22 year old John and 21 year old Castle were taken away with another man.
