Aug. 16, 1967 - Bee Gees Fan Club's Save The Bee Gees Campaign.: The Home Office has refused to let the two Australian-born members of the Bee Gees pop group, musicians, Vince Melouney and Colin Peterson, stay on in Britain after September 17. As part of the official fan club's Save The Bee Gees Campaign, members of the fan club paraded with an elephant called Gilda along Whitehall for about 50 yards, when they were halted by police. Photo shows 20-year old Pat Cameron, riding the elephant, is turned away from Whitehall by police today
