Oct. 10, 1968 - Gipsies at the the House of Commons.: A group of gipsies from all over the British Isles today went to the House of Commons today, with the purpose of urging that parliamentary legislation making it obligatory for local authorities to provide caravan sites for gipsies be expedited. Many of the gipsies were accompanied by their wives and families and some of the children carried banners with slogans such as: We want to go to school. Photo shows Five year old Kathleen Connors and her 7 - years Old brother, Michael, peer through the window of their miniature caravan outside the House of Commons today
