Jul. 07, 1967 - THE FLOWER PEOPLE GATHERS IN HYDE PARK. Hundreds of young hippies gathered in Hyde Park yesterday, where they were having a be-in'. They spread the word of love (the flower people are dedicated to making society more spiritually and mentally aware) and they spread the word of marijuana (which they want legalised) With bells on their toes, flowers in their hair, and carrying Flower Power banners, they gathered on the grass reciting poetry, singing and dancing. The crowd must have been about 5, 000, mostly hippies, but many of them curious sightseers. PHOTO SHOWS:- At the Hyde Park be-in yesterday, hippies and sightseers get the message
