Nov. 11, 1967 - Police intervene and stop collection for North Vietnam at Australia House; A group of Australian and New Zealanders who are resident in this country, are protesting against their Government's policy in Vietnam. Today they went inside Australia House, Strand, and started to collect money for medical aid for the national liberation front of Vietnam. Australia house authorities immediately called in the police who removed the group from the building.
