Dec. 12, 1971 - Bangla Dash Rally at Speakers Corner: A rally was held today at Speakers Corner Hyde Park by citizens of Bangladesh to celebrate the decision of the Indian Government to be the first country to recognize the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. After the Rally they marched to Downing Street. Photo shows citizens of Bangladesh with placards of the father of the Nation Shikh Mujibur Rahman, now under detention by West Pakistan
