Demonstrations

1971 - With barricades against Housing Demolition: The inmates of the apartment of the buildings in the Venedig street in Zurich decided to fight for their apartments. They should leave on April the 1st because of a demolition order. The whole street's buildings should be replaced by office-building, although the lack of apartments in Zurich gets all-ways worse. To protest against this demolition the inhabitants, about 70 people, built barricades to prevent their houses from demolition. Up to now it is not decided whether these resistants shall be evacuated by force. Photo shows speculation obstructs our future
