Feb. 06, 1972 - Thousands of Miners marched from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square were they held a mass rally and they were addressed by mine leaders and members of the Labor Party. The strike is over the National Coal Board's refusal to improve its final 7.9 percent pay offer. Miners leaders have insisted that only more cash could bring coal peace.
