Aug. 30, 1974 - 600 Police Clash with Pop Fans in a Clear Out Raid at Windsor Great Park.: More than 600 police swooped as 2, 000 hippies at Windsor Great Park pop festival and ordered them to pack up their tents and go Some obeyed the order, but many of them resisted. A scene of hysteria broke out following the clash between the police and the pop fans. Many people were injured, including policeman, and many arrests were made.
