Jul. 07, 1975 - One parent families march: Hundreds of children with their parents, from all over England, marched through London to demand better conditions for one parent families today - the anniversary of the publication of the Finer Report on One Parent Families. The march was organised by Gingerbread, . the Association of One Parent families, to demand Government action on the recommendations in the Report. After assembling at Speakers Corner Hyde Park, they marched to Victoria, from the parents went on to the House of Commons to lobby MPs.
