Oct. 10, 1974 - Flames of Hatred: Two Roman Catholic boys were set alight yesterday in the never ending horror of Belfast. The two boys Bernard Lynch (9) and James Crawford (12) were playing in a local park when they were set upon by a crowd of 15 Protestant youths who were reaming the area. The youths first beat the boys and then one of them poured petrol over them while another threw a match at them, they them run off laughing. James quickly rolled himself over and over in the grass extinguishing the flames and then threw his coat ever Bernard to help him.
