1981 - Fire and acid bomb attacks on the army in Londonderry: Hijacked vehicles were set ablaze by hooded youths who hurled petrol and acid bombs at the security forces from behind make-shift barricades in Londonderry yesterday. This was a short time after the funeral of two youths who had been killed during the rioting on Sunday when they were hit by an Army Landowner. And yesterday marked the eighth day of rioting in Londonderry. Photo Shows A Catapult being brought in to action against troops during the rioting in Londonderry last night
