Aug. 08, 1977 - Violence Flares At The Notting Hill Carnival: Mobs of rioting youths clashed with the police during the Notting Hill Carnival last night, as the police moved in they were ment by a hail of beer cans, bottles, bricks and chair legs. By midnight the number of injured had reached 220 of which 90 were taken to hospital, some with stab wounds.
