Aug. 08, 1977 - Violence Flares At The Nothing hill Carnival: Mods of rioting youths clashed with the police during the Notting Hill Carnival last night as police moved in they were met with a hail of beer cans and bottles, bricks and chair legs. By midnight the number of injured had reached 220, of which 90 were taken to hospital, some with stab wounds. Photo shows.
