Jul. 07, 1981 - Funeral of hunger striker Martin Hurson: The burial of Martin Hunson, who died on Monday after 46 days on hunger strike. He became the sixth striker to die since the start. The funeral procession of several thousand people led by a lone piper, wound their way through two miles of country lanes, from Mr. Hurson's home near Cappagh to his final resting place at St John's Chapel, Galbally, Masked IRA men carried the coffin and fired a final salute with pistols over the coffin.
