Apr. 13, 1981 - Rioting Hits Brixton For The Second Night: Rioting, looting and arson spread through the streets of Brixton, in South London last night, for the second successive night running-with police using their riot shields to charge the marauding gangs of youths-most, but not all of them, black. Police buses and vans were attacked and shops, pubs and cars set alight. By late last night 201 policemen and two police women had been injured and 213 people arrested since the weekend trouble flared up on Saturday evening. Photo shows Defiance shown by a blackman as he stands on the burst out body of a car hit by molotov cocktail during the rioting in Brixton on Saturday night
