Mar. 03, 1963 - Demonstrations in Ankara - Following release of Celal Bayar - Ex-President of Turkey. There were a number of demonstrations and clashes in the streets of Ankara - following the release from Prison of ex-President Celal Bayar of Turkey. President Bayar had been sentenced for violations of the Constitution after armed forces revolted in 1960 - in the trials which ended with the execution of his Premier M. Mendere. President Bayar was released because of ill health. He is 79. Photo shows an injured demonstrator is helped away - during one of the many clashes between demonstrators and police in Ankara
